BULLSBROOK Church Launch

The Strategy – People & Resources

Traditional Model

Begin with very few team members apart from the church planting couple, usually in the living room and with little or no resources. Then build momentum over the next months (usually years).

Although we have seen this model succeed, the success rate is considered to be relatively low (about 68%) with over 7 out of every 10 church plants having declining attendance.

With the increasing challenges of a modern busy life, coupled with the general spiritual apathy in our community, a more-focused, strategic and impactful approach is required.

Inspired Model for this church plant

In co-operating with God to build this resplendent church, our plan is to:

  1. Build a very strong church planting team (15 - 20 people)
  2. Gather in basic necessary resources which allows for effective ministry right from day one.
  3. Present the life-giving gospel message to our community.

Success rate: 93 – 98.4%.

The church planting team is hereby called the Launch Team.

Why involve a church planting team?

Research has shown that most growing church plant involved a church planting team. There is enough evidence to conclude that the assembly of a sizeable number of people committed to a purpose often lead to momentum which in turn lead to achieving a self-supporting status quite early. Besides, God’s word is clear about the enormity of the things we can achieve if we work together as a team.

The Launch Team

Launch Team Goals

  • To connect and build a solid relationship with people/organisations around Bullsbrook, Lower Chittering, Muchea and neighbouring communities.

  • To organize and hold launch day service and some pre-launch services.

Team Members Qualifications

  1. Christians but not necessarily long term church members; even a new believer in Christ is encouraged to join.
  2. Leadership experience would be required to effectively perform certain roles; such roles would preferably get assigned to existing leaders.
  3. The desire to engage in projects/ventures greater than oneself is required.

Desired Qualities

One or more of the following:

  1. Positive attitude
  2. People with a can-do mentality [Henry Ford once said: Think you can; think you can’t; either way, you’ll be right]
  3. Humility
  4. Team spirit mentality

No special talents /giftings are required to join the team. It would be our greatest delight though to have your gifting recognized and utilized by the team.

Composition of the Team

To effectively pursue the vision, team members who would be willing to serve in the following areas are urgently required:

  1. Foundation team: Simply commit to attend service & support the vision: these people are willing and ready to serve at whatever capacity deemed necessary during the launch (e.g. welcoming guests, decoration /aesthetic, ushering, hospitality).
  2. Music Co-ordinator: gifted/appreciable experience in music & knowledge of church worship culture; ability to play one or more instrument is desirable.
  3. Musicians / Vocalists
  4. Children Ministry / Kids teachers: Individuals with palpable passion for kids; basic training will be provided (if required).
  5. Administration: Bookkeeping/ Accounting experience is desirable.
