FASTING & PRAYER 2014 (DECEMBER 1 – 7)

 

Below is a list of prayer directions for each day of the fast and a few scriptural references as a guide (Isaiah 58:6-9, Matthew 6:16-18, Ephesians 3:20):

 

Day 1 - Spiritual Growth & Development, Involvement in Ministry/Service: Ephesians 3:14-21, Philippians 3:10, Colossians 1:10-11, Galatians 5:22-23, Philippians 1:6, 2 Timothy 20 -21, 1 Peter 4:10-11.

 

Day 2 - Family Well-being & Relationships (Children, Relatives, Friends): Malachi 4:6, Isaiah 8:18, Joshua 24:15, Job 42:10.

 

Day 3 - God’s Provision, Financial Stability & Material Prosperity: Matthew 6:33, 3 John 1:2, Joshua 1:8, Psalm 84:11, Psalm 37:25, Isaiah 48:17, Philippians 4:19, Malachi 3:12.

 

Day 4 - Career Plan, Professional Goals & Employment: Psalm 32:8, Proverbs 3:5-6, Jeremiah 29:11.

 

Day 5 - Health, Safety & Protection:  I Peter 2:24, Matthew 8:17, Psalm 91, 2Thessalonians 3:2-3.

 

Day 6 - Church Growth/Health, Pastor & Church Leadership, Effective Evangelism & Impact-making in our community: Acts  2:47, John 17:23, Matthew 16:18, Hebrews 11:10,1 Corinthians 3:6, Ephesians 6:19, Matthew 28:19, Matthew 5:14-15, 1 Thessalonians 5:25.

 

Day 7 - Others areas, Thanksgiving in anticipation of answered prayers: 1 John 5:14, Philippians 4:6, Psalm 118:21.
